Email notifications help operations teams learn about failures and significant run outcomes without continuously watching logs.

  • alert on repeated or final flow failure
  • notify a team mailbox on success for critical workflows
  • route partner-specific issues to the relevant operations group

Use email for workflow-level awareness, not as the only source of truth. Audit records, logs, and run history should remain the primary operational record.

Teams should review:

  • SMTP or provider settings
  • sender and recipient ownership
  • how much detail is appropriate in notification bodies
  • whether notification failure should block or merely report flow issues
